The three-script cap on submissions to industry partners was too limiting. It forced writers to pick and choose, and it didn't give our partner network enough material to fully evaluate each writer's range.
So we lifted it. Here's what changed and how the new system works.
No more cap on submissions to industry partners
If you're on Pro, you can now submit every script in your portfolio for consideration by producers, managers, and agents in our partner network. No more choosing which three to put forward. As you write new scripts and get them evaluated, submit those too.
Your entire body of work stays in front of our partners for as long as you're subscribed.
How consideration works now
The process is simple:
Submit for consideration. From your dashboard, select which scripts to include and request consideration. Each script goes out with your full evaluation attached — the summary, scores, development notes, everything our partners need to make a decision.
We screen against our partner network. Your scripts are matched to what producers, managers, and agents are looking for. We also screen broadly across the full network, not just against a single opportunity.
You get feedback. No black hole. You hear back with real notes: what landed, what needs another pass, and whether anyone wants to see more from you. Every consideration gets a response.
You act on the feedback and submit again. Your feedback will include specific next steps — whether that's a new draft of an existing script or a brand new piece. Once you have new work, get it evaluated and submit again. The cycle continues as long as you're writing.
Free users can now submit too
Every free account gets:
- One script evaluation
- One consideration request (submit that script to our partner network)
- A shareable report
If you want unlimited evaluations and ongoing consideration across your full portfolio, that's what Pro ($20/month) is for.
Better evaluations tuned for industry partners
We also shipped a major update to our evaluation model. The new version (Selznick 3.9) produces evaluations that are more closely aligned with how producers, managers, and agents actually read scripts when deciding whether to move forward.
The evaluation now includes a tighter summary, clearer packaging notes, and development feedback structured around the questions our partners are actually asking: Is this castable? What's the budget? Who's the audience? What network or streamer does this fit?
These evaluations are what our partner network sees when they review your work, so making them sharper makes your submissions stronger.
